  what rom are you actually looking at ? link ? if i know i can guide you through it . can also take screenshots of my mobile as im doing it to aide you on your way .
  
  remember all mobiles have a slightly different installation path to follow .
  
  so details details siver ... :)

  if i remember you are already rooted and running froyo so half of it you wont need to use ..

  Hahaha, what I am trying to root is not my phone or to update or change it. What I am trying to root is my new Telefunken Tablet.
  
  The actual device is a Telefunken Netpad TPAD-7A3GEA.
  
  Specs are:
  Processor - RK2818 600mhz
  Internal Storage - 4Gb
  System ram - 256mb
  OS - Google Android 2.2
  7"TFT Touchscreen
  
  So Enigma gave me the above links to get me on the right process but the rooting process is for a particular phone from what I can see and not for my device. I don't whatever Rom as long as I can change my current rom as this one sucks!

  hmmm ... unfortunatly pads like this are not easy to root or upgrade due to the hardware limiting the s/w ....
  
  im currently using an Archos 101 , 16gb , 1gb processor and have only just managed to run CM7 on it after ALOT of messing with setting ie: overclocking the processor and usind the sd card as a buffer for my limited ram ( 256mb ) ..
  
  devices like what you have to have froyo running on my friend is i think as far and as good as your going to get . :(
  
  
  Also the device is not very well recognized by developers so having them build a custom rom for it is going to be difficult to find ..
  
  have you been on any forums for this pad on telefunken ?

  That is fine with me Caz. I am currently running Froyo I think on my phone and I like the look of it. It is simple and allows me to do plenty with regards to applications and that.

  Hahaha, that is a little strange. Lol, well I got it for free so I don't really care too much about where it is being sold. Right now I just want to try and figure out how to make it better.

  to make it run smoother , goto android market install launcher pro . after installing it press your home key , the screen will show two icons make launcher pro the default ..
  
  this little app makes tablets easier and alot quicker !!
  
  
  
  link to market have a read .. got it on my tablet makes a good difference .
