Hey people... I can't remember WHEN the heck last I did a bit of programming and to be honest, I think my brain has rusted all up.
I'm creating a really-really basic mdb in Access 2003. It contains 2 tables with no relationship to each other whatsoever.
My pain is, I'm trying to create a form with one combo-box where I select an Item from a table in that combo-box and when clicking on it, it must complete all the relevant info in the remaining text boxes / labels on the form?
Can anybody please give me a hand here? I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks guys...
ROFL!!! It appears that it's not only my brain that froze up...
Why not just make one Form for each Table?
As far as I know, a Form automatically fills in matching data from its parent Table. (Never ever did a form based off more than one table...)
Also, as far as I know, the expression builder is only really meant to be used in Queries. I don't have more advanced Access knowledge, though.
Thanks for the tip, however the forms generated only contain text boxes and not combo boxes. you have to manually add the combo box. I can navigate with the data control tool between records, but I cannot get the details to automatically fill in when selecting one field out of the combo box....
I'll have to go back to my old college books... LOL
