  Hang on Deezil-I think you wanna check on the details of the GS.
  As far as I know the GS is a worse version of the GT.
  It has less transistors.
  Nice CPU score though.

  Technically it's worse yes (1 pipeline and 4 shaders less) but if I OC the living smoke out of it, it beats the hell out of a stock GT ... hence the fact that I used the word "smoking" GS
  
  Unfortunately I lost all my pics when I accidentally broke my RAID mirror last night but I did see a 9250 3DMark05 score with the GS @ 575/750Mhz ... that's not bad imho!!!
  
  Will do another run soon!
  
  P.S Toxic, where are those promised "near the top" scores and Morgue, didn't you go SLI recently?

  Yes however there is one slight flaw in your plan-If you overclock the living daylights out of a GT you get something that hand down beats an GS thats had the living daylights...well you get the idea.
  
  Less transistors=less relevant performance even when overclocked.

  Yes, yes and yes ... let's not start an argument.
  
  Read my posts carefully ... let's simply stick to the fact that I know a GS is slower than a GT.
  
  I was urgently looking for a card so that I could give the borrowed GT back to my friend ... since it was borrowed I couldn't overclock it ... now that the GS is MINE I can OC it to where ever I want!!!
  
  In all honesty, I don't actually want either of these cards but I don't have the dosh for a GTX right now ... I'll wait until I have an 8800 before I'll post something here again. Maybe I can challenge Jason for the top spot (heaven knows what he'll be running by the time I'll be able to afford a GTX!!!)

  Yup, two 7800GTXs in SLI. Before overclocking, got in the region of 12500 in 3DMark05, and 7500 in 3DMark06, from what I recall.
  
  For some inexplicable reason, I haven't overclocked them yet.
  
  I am having some trouble with my SLI drivers - random glitches and problems when playing movies using BSPlayer - I'll see if I can start a thread about the problems later. I really just need updated SLI drivers, but can't seem to find them!
