the ram dividers won't go lower than this Toxic...
What I would suggest is to take the fsb up by small increments.
What I do is set the following:
FSB voltage : +0.2
MCH voltage: +0.2
DDR voltage: +0.2
CPU voltage: 1.55v
PCI-e mhz: Auto
Ram: 1:1
FSB: 400
Multi: 8x
Then when I boot into Windows I use memtest and clockgen.
With Memtest I loosen the timings of my ram a bit so that I have leeway for an increase in fsb.
Then with clockgen I slowly increase the fsb until I am happy with the result.
I have reached 3.55Ghz like this with my ram sitting at about DDR2-1040 or so. In my case this is as far as the value Transcends want to go...
Another useful exercise is to drop the multi to 6 and try to up the FSB as high as you possibly can. I have come close to 500FSB on my P35 DS3R.
Enjoy the new toys! ;)
Cool ... i'll look into this ... would seem to be the sensable thing to get higher fsb.
Funny thing though is my MB sets the volages on its own. As soon as i up the fsb the MB inceases the voltages as nesasary to keep the cpu stable. the same goes for the memory ... kinda cool.
No .. dont get me wrong ... i can change it aswell but it gas recomendations that it sets by default as soon as you OC. you could change it back if you want.
