  Hey guys,
  I've recently been asked to get an emulator for the Symbian O/S S60-Series up and running, so I can run a particular mobile application on it (.jad).
  
  I'v downloaded the Emulator from the Nokia-Forum site and I have both the .jad and .jar files of my app. Now, here's the trick. I have NO idea how to get the stupid emulator to run, never-mind the application that I still need to run within it.
  
  Does anybody know how to go about this. I'm currently using Borland JBuilder 2006 Enterprise Edition.

  Do you have a java runtime environment installed? (which is probably a given considering you have jbuilder running.)

  Yes, JRE is installed, that's not my main issue, it's getting to know where to add what in which class, etc.
  
  I've also tried mpowerplayer, but it doesn't emulate Symbian O/S, S60-Series. It's some older series. The application I want to run will be a break-through of technology if I can only get it to run. Or perhaps find a different emulator. I'll keep searching thought.

  I've only used the Visual Studio .NET emulators, so I can't comment on the Borland equivalent. I'd prefer to use Borland tech, but my company forces me to use .NET
  
  The VS.NET emus worked fine with a host of different mobile platforms/processors.

  I wouldn't mind using the VS.NET emulators, but they're extremely expensive compared to Borland collection. Maybe I should just ask my boss to get it anyway. It is for work after all. :-)
