  I think this is a question that every new programmer asks himself???
  
  What language am I going to do?
  
  I have personaly decided on Java and C++.... I think that they are the most widely used languages! IMHO...
  
  What do u guys think.....
  PS. If u guys r currently studying programing... What do u think about your courses? (difficulty, understanding problems etc..._)

  I would have to say Delphi. Probably because it's based on Pascal,
  and Delphi is what they taught at my college (WS&L Training).
  
  Another reason to go Delphi: It's not a Microsoft product! !cheesy
  
  Although, after 8 years of working with Delphi, my company has
  forced me to switch over to Visual Basic .NET. It has some nice
  features, but I still prefer Delphi. Especialy since it's compatible with
  Microsoft's DotNET architecture.
  
  C++ is too much hard work - it's like trying to decypher hieroglyphics!

  C++ ain't that bad. I've been working with it for quite a while now and I think it's awesome. I do prefer Delphi though, especially since I was tought Pascal in high school. I suppose old habits die hard.
  
  If you enjoy working with Delphi or if you wan to fiddle with/learn Delphi and don't have the money to fork out for an IDE, you should check out
  
  It's a free Object Pascal IDE ( like Delphi ). It's pretty damn awesome. It's completely free and open source and runs on Windows, Linux and MacOS. I've been using it for quite some time now and have only had one hassle with it ( no MDI support at the moment, although you can do it yourself if you really want ).

  I like Java, C++ and C#... especially Visual C#. The whole .NET framework is very nice. Did a project in Visual C# over the holidays and found it an absolute pleasure to work with. The editor in conjunction with the MSDN Library makes life really easy for a programmer that hasn't had much experience with a specific language.
  
  I also find Ruby very intersting but extremely difficult. Its very powerful but can become horribly complicated to follow, even for rather simple and small tasks.

  As long as it's not an IDE based on Ruby Wax, the British
  TV show personality, it should be OK !lol
